1. Agreement
By downloading, accessing, or using FaceRefine, you agree to these Terms of Use and the FaceRefine Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Your license to use FaceRefine is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple's Standard EULA, the terms required by Apple control.
2. FaceRefine service
FaceRefine provides local photo and portrait-editing tools. Features, supported devices, filters, and output may change as the app is improved. Some functionality requires a compatible iOS device, sufficient device resources, and permission to access a photo or camera.
Automated facial landmark detection and image effects can be imperfect. You are responsible for reviewing an edited image before saving, sharing, publishing, or relying on it.
3. Your photos and permitted use
You retain ownership of photos and other content you provide. You grant FaceRefine only the limited permission needed to process that content on your device and provide the edits you request.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to edit and share a photo. You may not use FaceRefine to violate privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights; impersonate or deceive others; create unlawful content; or harass, exploit, or harm another person.
4. Face data and privacy
FaceRefine's handling of photos, facial landmarks, editing masks, local projects, analytics, and deletion controls is described in the Privacy Policy. Facial analysis is performed on the device and requires the permission shown in the app before processing begins.
5. Subscriptions and payment
- FaceRefine may offer auto-renewing weekly or yearly subscriptions that unlock Pro features.
- The App Store purchase sheet shows the current product, billing period, localized price, and any trial or introductory offer available to your Apple ID. That purchase-sheet information controls if it differs from promotional text elsewhere.
- A free trial is available only when it is offered for the selected product and Apple determines that your account is eligible. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts to the paid price shown by Apple.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, subject to Apple's rules.
- Your Apple Account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel in iOS Settings under your Apple Account subscriptions.
- Deleting FaceRefine does not cancel a subscription. Refunds, billing disputes, and payment processing are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
6. License and restrictions
Subject to these terms and Apple's Standard EULA, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use FaceRefine on Apple-branded devices you own or control as allowed by App Store rules.
You may not copy or redistribute the app, bypass paid-feature controls, interfere with its operation, use it to deliver malicious code, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available, that a particular edit will produce a specific result, or that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. We may terminate access when use materially violates these terms or applicable law.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FaceRefine is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. FaceRefine is a creative editing tool and is not a medical, biometric-identification, identity-verification, or professional advice service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, or harm arising from your content, sharing choices, third-party services, or misuse of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
9. Third-party services
Apple, Firebase, RevenueCat, and any destination you choose for an export are independent services governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Continued use after updated terms become effective means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law. If a material change requires additional consent, we will request it.
